The beginning of summer is a time of excitement, relief, and new beginnings. Some of the best ways to celebrate the end of a school year and the arrival of warm weather are with Greenville’s many local events like the farmer’s market, festivals downtown, music series, and fairs.

Here are several upcoming events to enjoy the sun and community that Greenville has to offer:

  1. Fair at Heritage Park: The fair at Heritage Park in Simpsonville is full of rides, games, and fair food. May 17 – 27
  2. Greek Festival Downtown: Greek Fest is a favorite event of many Greenville high schoolers and is a great place to catch up with friends from other schools and meet new people in a lively and central location. May 17 – May 20
  3. Beachin’ Fridays in Downtown Mauldin: Located in the Outdoor amphitheater in downtown Mauldin, Beachin’ Fridays is an event of music, shag dancing, food trucks, and fireworks. May 18 – Jun 9 from 7-9pm
  4. TD Saturday Market: Hosted by Greenville Health System, this farmers market takes place on Greenville’s Main street and is made up of 75 white tents of fresh, locally sourced produce. May 5 – October 27 every Saturday
  5. Superheroes and Superstars: the Works of Alex Ross: Shown in the Upcountry History Museum, this exhibit features over 100 pieces of original artwork of Marvel characters and as well as other icons like the Beatles, Star Wars, and Monty Python. February 10 – June 3
