Do you really know Adam Brown?

Adam is the senior forward on the 2024-25 Varsity basketball team. Adam has a passion for the game of basketball, playing since he was 5 years old. Growing up as a kid, his inspiration was Lebron James. Adam played middle school basketball in his 7th grade year but proceeded to play Junior Varsity basketball his 8th and 9th grade years. Under the mentorship of Coach Jordan Filiatreau, Adam developed his unique style of play. “Adam Brown is one of the most coachable athletes that I have had,” says coach Filiatreau. “His willingness to do what his team needs in order to be successful is tremendous. His attitude towards the game and his teammates is always mild mannered which helps the people around him stay calm and under control. The way that Adam is on a team will set him up for success throughout his life.” During the summer when Adam wasn’t playing for the school, he played AAU basketball for the Upward Stars of Spartanburg, South Carolina. He looks up to his older brother growing up as a role model. “I wear the number 15 because my older brother wore number 15,” said Adam. During Adam’s Varsity basketball career he collected many accolades. Winning state championships in his sophomore and junior years, player of the game in the state championship game, and selected as a top five 3A preseason player. Those are just a few of Adam’s accolades. Off the court, he’s as well-rounded a student as he is a basketball player. Adam is a part of Youth in Government (YIG) directed by Mr. Diego Miranda. Mr. Miranda said, “He’s very passionate about YIG and seems to get along with everyone. I see him as a quiet leader. He’s a very relaxed, friendly guy, and his teammates seem to really appreciate him.” Adam is admired by his peers around him. He was also recently nominated to be on the 2025 Homegoing Court. Though Adam is leaving CCES in the Spring, his future is very promising.
