It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, and the new teachers are feeling good in the 2024-25 school year. The two teachers that will be highlighted in this article are Mr. Jackson, the Algebra II teacher, and Dr. Kiser, the Algebra I and Chemistry teacher. These teachers have a strong passion for teaching for similar reasons. Dr. Kiser said, “I love helping students learn a subject that can be hard to understand.” Mr. Jackson responded by saying he has a passion for youth development, and he wants to give “any sort of help to students” that he can. Also, both Dr. Kiser and Mr. Jackson are pet people. Mr Jackson owns two cats, Molly and Percy, while Dr. Kiser owns a German Shepherd/Hound mix named Hank.

Mr Jackson is coming from Orlando, Florida and moved here this year. Mr. Jackson, a.k.a Salmon in his school days, keeps a collection of completely unnecessary keys on his key ring, including a key to a golf cart that does not work, along with an old church key that has had its locks changed. Mr. Jackson relates to the CCES student body well, as he enjoys all kinds of spicy chips and brownies. When asked what his favorite movie was, he could not decide between “Interstellar” or “Meet the Robinsons,” so you all can decide for him. However, he did not have any trouble answering whether Lebron or Jordan was better. In fact, after I said, “Who’s better Lebron or—” he cut in and said, “Lebron, not close.”
