As the school year comes to a close, the journalism staff prepares for next year, and new editors have been named. We, Olivia Thurmond and Conrad Pentaleri, have been named Co-Editors along with seven other assistant editors (listed below). We are beyond excited for the opportunity to lead another talented and experienced staff next year.

On May 1, 2015, the journalism staff released the first edition of The Cavalier, an almost entirely student produced magazine. Next year, our goal is to have multiple editions of the magazine while continuing to improve our website. We also hope to promote both the website and the magazine to gain more readers, but our main goal is to increase the volume and quality of the content that we put out.

To expand our impact on the CCES community, next fall, we will begin a cycle of weekly newsletters, distributed through email to the entire CCES student body and faculty. We hope that a regular distribution of our work will increase interest in the journalism program and help the program grow at CCES. We have big plans for the expansion of our program and cannot wait for a successful 2015-2016 school year of quality reporting.

Now, the Christ Church journalism staff must say goodbye to our 2014-2015 senior Co-Editors, Caroline Willcox and Susannah Pazdan. Behind their leadership, the journalism staff had a successful year in publishing the first edition of the magazine and improving our program. We wish them the best of luck in their college endeavors and will miss them dearly.

The best is yet to come for this journalism team.

We now present our 2015-16 Assistant Editors:

Liam Barr – Public Relations Manager
Courtney Foster and Mikaela Towler – Co-Multimedia-Editors
Courtney Lee – News Editor
Charlie McMahon – Sports Editor
Darcy Merline – Lifestyle Editor
Nila Veerabagu – Photo Editor
