On January 23, actor, columnist, author, speechwriter and Economics professor Ben Stein visited the Christ Church Upper School. Mr. Stein arrived in time for second period, where he visited Mrs. Carmichael’s IB Economics class. Though the class generally has fewer than twelve students, on Tuesday it was filled to the brim with eager students and faculty members.

Mr. Stein fully engaged the students in conversations regarding the basics of economics, and the seniors’ Extend Essays and Senior Thesis topics. This was an exciting day for the entire Upper School community, and Mr. Stein has decided to visit Christ Church again on January 24 to one of Mr. Woodward’s history classes.
