Meet Mrs. Brown, the new Tide, AP and IB Computer Science, Intro to Robotics and Coding teacher. She’s the faculty advisor of the chess, drone, coding, and 3D printing clubs.

She graduated from Georgia Tech and moved to Boston for a teaching program. She then had the opportunity to move down south to Christ Church to be closer to her family. Christ Church has given her the opportunity and freedom to teach several different classes she loves.  She said, “My mom was a teacher, so I grew up seeing her and being inspired by her ability to work with students with low confidence and seeing her build their confidence up.” She wanted to be somebody who could help students like her mother did. 

When she was 12 years old, she bought her first album, and it was a Justin Bieber Christmas album. She says, “The Christmas songs slap, and some of the songs, like Mistletoe, best Christmas songs out there.” Later on, she bought her first and only car, named The Enterprise, after the ship from Star Trek. Over the years, she’s concluded that there are two sauces that you need and that’s barbecue and Chipotle sauce.
