On Wednesday March, 15, Christ Church students welcomed the daughter of Desmond Tutu, a highly influential leader of the antiapartheid movement in South Africa and a Nobel Peace Prize winner. Thandi Tutu-Gxashe spoke about her own campaign to aide children in Africa who struggle to receive basic school supplies, including desks. The Tutudesk campaign gives students desks to write on in order to enhance their schooling experience.  Tutu-Gxashe is very passionate about her movement and she really hopes to provide as many Tutudesks as possible to children. I had the opportunity to sit down with her and chat about the message she wants to send to the youth of this generation.
