Characters Gone Wild

Tuesday September 23, 2014, creative costumes took over the halls of CCES on Homecoming’s Character Day. Each student, in hope of being nominated by their class for best costume, was outfitted in their best. Many members of the class of 2016 were dressed in spotted costumes as the 101 Dalmatians. Other memorable costumes included the characters from Grey’s Anatomy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Cheetah Girls, and several Disney headliners. There were so many variations on similar characters, that it made the day even more exciting.

During lunch, students renditions of songs like “It’s a Barbie World” filled the cafeteria, as this weeks karaoke event continued. To have someone sing, you donate money to the charity our homecoming is raising money for, The Family Effect, and get to nominate a song and a person. If the person nominated can match the amount of money donated, they can get out of singing. If not, they get to show off their musical talent to the lunch room!

As the day came to a close, students left school with smiles on their face from the day’s excitement.
