With the NFL season starting recently, I wanted to take some time to share some fantasy tips and tricks with the faithful readers of CCES news. As the clear victor of my week one bout, I feel that I am more than qualified to drop knowledge for all students who wish to learn. With that being said, know that this guide may not work for everyone, and to always make their own decisions.
1. Do NOT panic on studs early.
After week one, your tik tok might be blowing up with people who claim that your best player is “washed” or “ a bum”. This list of players includes but is not limited to: Marvin Harrison Jr., Bijan Robinson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Chris Olave, or Travis Kelce. These players will be fine, and it is way to early to hit the panic button on these guys just yet.
2. Make sure you trust who is throwing to your receivers
This week, we got a first hand view of how important the quarterback is to the wide receiver. Guys like Drake London, DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, and Terry Mclaurin all failed to build a connection with their quarterbacks, and said quarterbacks struggled to push the ball downfield. Keep an eye on these guy’s production as they make their way through the season.
3. FADE DOLPHINS RECIEVERS
If anyone has Dolphins receivers on their team after TNF, I would fade them asap. Tua not only looked like he could be retiring soon, but before that looked awful in almost 4 full quarters of play. I would look to get value out of them if you can.
With the season off to a hot start, it is important to remember that these first weeks do not define your entire season. Win or lose, it is important to stay vigilant on the waiver wires and keep up to date on injuries. With any luck, your team will stay healthy and you will move through the season. Happy football season!
