The boys soccer team fell to St. Joe’s in penalty kicks on Tuesday night. After a scoreless first half, sophomore midfielder Aiden Bell scored the first goal of the game to get the scoring started early in the second half. Alex May of St. Joe’s tied the game at one with about fifteen minutes left in regulation. Neither team scored for the remainder of the game or extratime, and freshman goalie Aiden Spinks had several clutch saves to send the game to penalty kicks. The Cavs were unable to convert on their first three penalty kicks, but two saves by Spinks kept the game within reach. Mac Sanders and Tyler Baughcome converted the final two penalty kicks, but the Knights also converted both of theirs for a 3-2 win. The loss brings the boys’ record to 1-2. The Cavs return to action tonight against Brashier Middle College at home at 7:30, and they get another shot against St. Joes’ on April 5th at home.
