After being invited by Senator Bruce Bannister, many football players, as well as other CCES Athletes, headed down to Columbia to be recognized by the South Carolina Senate. Although it was mainly football players that went down to the ceremony, other CCES teams were invited as well. These teams included: boys golf and girls tennis. Christ Church Athletics have developed and grown, through the guidance of great coaches Athletic Director R.J. Beach. This ceremony truly recognized that.
