The Baseball has finished the regular with a win-loss of 6-12. They had key wins this year against Brashier Middle College Charter and Greer Middle College Charter. They also beat Greenville Tech Charter 11-10 in a close game ending with a walk off. The team faced many challenges this year. Mainly keeping the players healthy. Sophomore Jack Schofield never fully recovered this year from his elbow injury this year and missed most of the season, which was a major loss to the team this year. The team also dealt with injuries to key players Blake Brady, Cole Bradley, and Marshall Merline. The baseball team added Junior Taylor Carsten to the team once he finished his lacrosse season.
The Cavaliers enter the playoffs as the third seed in their district. They traveled to play the Number 2 seed Ware Shoals in the first round. The Cavaliers lost with a score of 3-1. They played Great Falls a four seed at home and won with a score of 8 to 3. They then traveled to play Fox Creek. In a close game Fox Creek won 5-4. Junior Isaiah “Baby Zai” Hogue said about the season “We worked really hard this year, sometimes not hard enough, but we tried our hardest.”
