The 2013 softball team is back and ready for more this year. With returning seniors Kate Heil and Kathleen Benedict, the team has a great mix of experience and young talent. With new freshman Cat Davis and Sarah Atkinson, this team is ready for a huge improvement over last year. After a mediocre record last year, the team is excited to get out on the field this year and improve their record. Junior Meghan McManus is one of the many players that want to improve: “We have definitely improved over the last year.” Obviously, the main goal is a State Championship; this is a high but very reachable goal. Baby steps are key, and the softball is ready to take them … all the way to the state championship.
