How The CCES Community Is Staying In Shape During Quarantine.
April 30, 2020
Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, more and more people are finding themselves working from home. At the same time, many local businesses (including gyms and fitness centers) have temporarily closed their doors, creating a situation where some may become less active than they normally are. But that’s not stopping people from staying in shape, throughout this whole break people have been doing anything they can do to stay in shape and not gain any weight while on quarantine. To keep up with the Christ Church Community I asked members of the community how they’ve been staying in shape over this long break. Sophomore Sam Perry said: “Because we are on quarantine AAU has been canceled until this is over so my parents had to buy me a Basketball goal just so I could practice basketball without having to leave the house.” Sophomore Antonia Kiriakidies said: “Learning new TikTok dances have been keeping me in shape and allowing me to find something to do.”
Freshman Cathryn Burger is staying active saying, “ I have been going on daily walks with my family and trying my best to go on walks by myself, also I have been practicing riding on my skateboard and that has been keeping me fit.” Staying in shape doesn’t have to be just going outside for a run you can stay in shape by doing anything whether it is running or finding a new TikTok trend and just practicing and learning it to stay entertained and fit.
In all, staying fit doesn’t require much work, just take at least 10 minutes out of your day to go outside and jog or play your favorite sport but be careful to wear a mask if you have to go buy something to help you with your at-home time.
