Varsity Softball

The varsity softball team’s season began with practices starting in late January. The girls braved the cold winter weather to work on their hitting and fielding. Their hard work has channeled into their games which began in early March.

Although the girls lost their first game against St. Joe’s 0-19, they went on to win their next three consecutive games. The girls defeated Carolina Academy 33-12, Greenville Tech Charter 7-6, and Greenville High School 21-15. Following their winning streak, the team lost to both Southside Christian 9-13 and Spartanburg Christian 1-26. They had a big win following their losses and defeated Greenville Tech Charter 25-14. Sophomore catcher Kat Davis discussed their success saying, “We hit the ball very well and stole bases.” Afterwards, the girls lost four consecutive games but are confident they will come back strong in future games.

The girls are continuing to learn to cooperate with each other and to work as a team. The girls hope to make it to the play offs and beat St. Joseph’s later in the season. Good luck to our softball team!
